SHAPESHIFTER SHENANIGANS

For reasons.

This is an inaccurate kitten. But whatever, it works.

Anyway, basically we're going to pretend we're in Chicago and this is going to be a shapeshifter bonanza. Your character doesn't have to be one to participate, but be aware that they're going to have to talk to animals and probably feel a little silly. (You can even say that your character was temporarily turned into an animal for whatever reason too. It's the rift. Make it so.)

This is not limited to BTR characters. If your character is a shapeshifter normally, or you want to get in on the fun, or you just want to react to a particular character being a fawn or a kitten or whatever other creature you can think up, I don't really care, just stick to the following basics:

  • You are in Chicago. You probably fell through a rift to get there, but you've moved past that by now.
  • You are a shapeshifter. Or you're dealing with a shapeshifter. In order to shift into your character's animal form, it must have been triggered by some kind of emotional reaction - or possibly a reaction to another shapeshifter.
  • This is not your favorite thing, and you're feeling very put upon right about now. Tough luck.
  • Keep track of your clothes. You'll probably need them later. (Unless you're Buffy, in which case you'll just need new ones.)

  • GO! SHIFT! WIN!

Buffy in the days before the moon? Peter the night of the moon? I'm open for anything.

The full moon wasn't far off. Peter had become used to it, preparing in a place much further removed than he had that first time when he'd shifted there in Chicago. His life revolved around two things. That full moon and what it could mean if he wasn't careful... and the handful of friends he'd made in the city. His life here was new, different, but it was becoming better than what he'd thought about in Beacon Hills.

Even if those nights just before the room he was both anxious and irritable, and was often found in the park, in seedier parts of town. If he started a fight or two, the risk was worth it for the outlet.
