[Sam is dead.

But unlike when he was being pushed around by angels, now that he's died of actual natural causes, it seems as though he's spent too much time around the supernatural, did too much damage to himself with the demon blood that he's not quite seen as human anymore.

So he's caught in the Other Side, biding his time in order to keep himself out of Purgatory, and has done his best to make a few friends along the way. Most of the people here aren't too bad, all things considered. In fact, as far as Lexi is concerned, it could be worse.

But then there's the time the walls come down and he's temporarily free to actually touch things, Lexi can find him running head first into the bay, diving under the waves and just relishing the feel of the water against his skin.

Man, he never thought he would take going swimming for granted. He turns around to face the shore again and flashes her a grin.]
