That sounded like it could be lonely. But Jasmine and Percy weren't much better off. And they somehow always managed to get by.

Jasmine wasn't at all familiar with his custom of raising a glass, but eager as ever to learn new things she copied him.

And wondered how long they were supposed to just stand there like that.
