[They find a way to fix Rebekah first.

It's simply a matter of digging, finding the right witch and exacting the right price, but in the end, Neal and Hayley manage to properly persuade her. And ... Hope probably helped too. That being said, it takes a little finagling to free her from Freya's spell, but once they do, Rebekah is whole again, mind and spirit, and just in time for her favorite holiday.

A little bittersweet, given that they still have her brothers and sister to free, but Neal tries to convince her to compensate by teaching Hope the family traditions. Hayley tried, but she doesn't know all of them, so the Mikaelson Family Bonfire burns again as Rebekah takes her through them, step by step.

Once that is done, and Hope returns to her toys, Rebekah finds Neal in the kitchen, and he glances over with a small smile.]

All wishes granted?

I have missed them too!!

[It's bittersweet at best. Rebekah is glad to see Neal and Hayley again, is thrilled to get to know her niece and teach her the traditions of the family, but her mind often wanders to her other siblings, to the sacrifice Klaus had made to save all of them.

How can she be happy while they still suffer?

It doesn't seem fair.

But she doesn't want to seem ungrateful either. Because she isn't. Which is why she makes her way to Neal with a sad smile on her face.]

All the ones that can be granted, right now.

[He glances over to her and steps forward, one hand coming up and brushing his fingers through her hair, tucking a lock behind her ear.]

We're not giving up. We'll find a way to save your brothers and Freya, and then we'll go back to New Orleans for Klaus.

I know. It just feels...not right to celebrate without them. [Even though she knows they would want her to help create the perfect holiday for her niece. How can it be perfect like this?]

I hope you didn't have too much trouble keeping up with Hayley

Oh, trust me, we were both equally motivated.

[He didn't like being apart for her as long as he was. But she's there now, and he's not going to lie about being happy about that.]

I kept up just fine.

I'm sure. And you're both very clever when you need to be, I'm sure you made quite a team.

[She's glad to be with him now too, she won't deny that, as much as her heart still aches for her other siblings.]

[He smirks a bit at that before nodding.]

I think a lot of people underestimated us and won't be making that mistake again.

[Wolves and vampires alike. But they still have a ways to go before they find cures for Elijah, Kol and Freya.]

And now that there's three of us, we can gain even more ground.

[Especially when that person is a highly motivated Original.]

It's true. We'll make a formidable team, to say the least.

[a vampire, a hybrid, and an Original. there have been worse team ups.]

And I prefer you not ripping my throat out. Or anyone else's for that matter.

Well, there may have to be some throats ripped out before this is all over, but I will try to keep it at a minimum.

True, but only if it's your choice, and not at the whim of some kind of murderous curse.

Yes, I do rather enjoy being able to choose for myself.

[He smiles as he turns to face her.]

Though now that we have some time to ourselves again, what would you like to do with it?

You could show me some of my niece's artwork, to start with. Nik is going to have a fit you taught her.

Well, I can't help it that she happened to take an avid interest. At least someone was teaching her?

[He smirks as he holds out his arm to her so they can head up to what has basically become the art cave.]

It's true, and Nik will overcompensate when he gets the chance to prove he's the better teacher.

[she takes his arm, allowing him to lead the way.]

[And he'll make his way around the corner and up the stairs to the art room.]

Well, Hope deserves a little overcompensation. I don't think she'll complain.

[he swallows a bit as they reach the door.]

At least she'll have better things to look forward to than I did.

[Rebekah gives his hand a small squeeze]

She'll have better things than we all did, that's the point.

[He nods and squeezes her hand in return, before turning and pointing to one of the other pieces on the wall, a very simple watercolor of the garden, but it's still rather good]

The garden is her favorite muse.

[It may be simplistic, but it shows talent, and Rebekah can't help but smile looking at it.]

I can't blame her, there's a lot to be inspired by.

[He moves closer to her, sliding his arms around her waist to pull her back against him.]

A lot of great artists spent all their time painting gardens.

It's true. Look at Monet's work in his private gardens in Giverny.

She's getting the perfect start, in my opinion.
