[It had taken some of Barry's considerable persuasion and sad puppy faces to get Helena to come to the West family holiday party, and while Joe's food should have really been persuasion enough, he knows all about trying to be stubborn about the holidays. Still, when she finally does show up, he can't help the grin that crosses his face as he waves her inside.]

You made it! Let me get you some of Grandma Esther's egg nog.

[Holidays aren't an easy time for her. There used to be grand trees, silly family squabbles, and cookies made by Alfred. While she's gotten used to be alone, this is the time of year it really hits her that she really is on her own. That isn't going to change unless she finally gives into that sad puppy face.

Helena leaves her work behind for the night and heads to Central City. She tells herself she's humoring him and maybe she is. Seeing someone so happy to see her is already lifting her spirits.]

I was in the neighborhood. [Helena steps inside and can't help smiling at what she sees. It's not as glamorous as Wayne Manor was, but it is warm and cozy. Maybe she was right to listen to him.]

Lucky you. You'll finally have competition for eating people out of house and home.

Oh, trust me. Since Wally became a speedster, there's plenty of competition.

[He doesn't use his speed to get the eggnog for her, but he is back in a flash, handing her a cup with a grin.]
