[Attar likes to realm hop. Not that anyone can really blame him, given that his domain is Hell. He bounces around, seeing all the things he wants to see and wishing that he had someone to travel with all the same. Still, wandering into Thebes is inconspicuous enough that he doesn't even really bother to be subtle about it.

He's here to do some shopping.

Sort of.

He wanders past a cart of potions and such, and eyes the vials carefully as he does.]

Do you make a variety, or is it more of a specific ailment sort of thing?

[cursebreaker]

[Evelina straightens up (hey, standing behind a cart for hours at a time is rough) and offers the potential customer a bright smile.]

I make a variety of potions if they'll keep for awhile, but I can also make things to order if I can get the ingredients. Did you have something specific in mind?

[lightbringing]

Oh, I'm just browsing. I come into this market quite a bit - I like knowing what's available when I need it.

[cursebreaker]

I can tell you what I always have.

[She points to the array of little vials and larger bottles in turn. They're all labeled in her neat handwriting, but she explains anyway.]

This one helps clear the sinuses, this one is a sleep aid, and this one is for hangovers.

[She's learned the latter is a bestseller so she always brews up some of that.]

This helps the complexion and this settles an upset stomach. I also have a catalogue of what I can make, if you'd like to see.

[lightbringing]

I would love to see it. Thank you.

[ He smiles. ]

How long have you been brewing these little concoctions?

[cursebreaker]

[ She bends down to retrieve a little booklet from the shelf built into the backside of the cart and spreads it open for him. Inside is a list of potions in alphabetically order, all written in her neat handwriting. It's obvious she took some care in presenting the material in a professional manner. ]

As long as I could stand on a stool and help my mother. So at least fifteen years.

[ But brewing them on her own? Yeah, it's been less than a year. She's not going to be bragging about that, however. It doesn't really instill confidence. ]

[lightbringing]

[ He lets out a slow whistle. ]

That's a long time. You must have gotten good at it.

[cursebreaker]

I like to think so.

[ She grins while looking down at the little bottles. ]

It's what I do for a living and I wouldn't want to do shoddy work.

[lightbringing]

No one would. It's important to take pride in your work. I always do, after all.

[cursebreaker]

Oh? What do you do, sir?

[lightbringing]

I'm an agent. I mostly work in recruitment.

[cursebreaker]

Recruiting for what, if you don't mind my asking?

[lightbringing]

Well, we can't do everything ourselves. Sometimes we need a little assistance here and there.

[cursebreaker]

[ She looks a little puzzled. ]

Of course. But I'm afraid I don't know what it is you do.

[lightbringing]

Little of this, little of that. I guess you could say I'm a facilitator. I get people what they want.

[cursebreaker]

Oh, like a merchant?

[ Her eyes light up because that she understands. ]

I help give people what they want too, as long as it's potion-based.

[lightbringing]

[Yep. TOTALLY LIKE THAT.]

My business reaches a little wider than that, but I have to say, you have a pretty niche market.

[cursebreaker]

I suppose so. But that's the way I prefer it, really. My mother said to think small, and try to help individuals, not the whole world.

[lightbringing]

Then I'm glad we have people like you, looking out for the little picture.

[cursebreaker]

Oh, I'm happy to do whatever I can. You don't happen to need anything I have for sale, do you?

[lightbringing]

[He drums his fingers lightly, shaking his head.]

No, no. Not now. But I will certainly keep you in mind if I ever do.

[cursebreaker]

[And with that, he'll make a gesture like he's tipping his hat, before wandering off to the rest of the market.]
