[Kate is already so done with this situation. First he beats her to the crime scene and now he's beating her to the coroner's office? She glances over at Lanie who gives her a bit of a helpless look, before turning a glare on Dean, arms crossed in front of her chest.]

What are you doing here?

[iusti]

[ Sam tells him to stop lording it over her. He says she's gonna pull her gun eventually and put a few rounds into Dean's face if he's not careful. He's proud of himself though. Then again when isn't Dean proud of himself. She's pretty though and sometimes Dean adopts the school yard principal of pulling pigtails. ]

Being awesome.

[ He smiles and Sam elbows him. He grunts and smooths down the front of his suit. The smugness fades. ]

Investigating. And you?

[killmypatience]

[There is so much linefacing happening right now. She glances back to Lanie and the other woman just gives her a shrug.]

You're not on this case. We still haven't gotten the all clear from your superior.

No. You're not on this case. Or at least you're not supposed to be.

[ He sighs heavily. He'll have to take a moment to call Bobby once he finishes up in the morgue. Sometimes certain covers fall through the cracks when you got one guy pretending to be the heads of multiple law enforcement agencies. ]

I'm doing my job though. If you're nice I'll let ya stay.

[ Another nudge from Sam and his smile fades. ]

[Kate's jaw sets and she looks to Lanie for support, but she's just going to hold up her hands in response. She's not getting in the middle of Kate's turf war.

But Kate would also rather be on the case than not at all.]
