Muselist is HERE and it's not completely updated, but I'm going to try and do that tonight. You may select SURPRISE for what character you want, but if you do it will likely be a crossover ship of my choosing. I don't really do M/M slash, but M/F and F/F are both fair game. Annnnnnnd that's it.

There's an art to casually bumping into the guy you like. You're supposed to be smooth. It's all oh hey, I didn't expect to see you here, only you did, because you've been religiously stalking him on Forsquare for weeks to try and determine his routines and patterns and the places he likes so that you can plan the perfect entrance and be totally cool. You're supposed to be so hip and cool that he has no choice but to plant on on you right on the spot because why wouldn't he? You're the hottest thing since sliced bread. Who wouldn't want to date you?

Approaching the guy you like out of the blue requires confidence and while there are times when Hana Kim has confidence in spades, the one thing that she does not have is luck.

Because after weeks of planning and cyber stalking and plotting, Hana is making her way into a bakery that she knows he frequents and finds herself tumbling into a surprise rabbit hole which was not on her plans for today. Thankfully the surprise it all doesn't make her shift, but it does leave her tumbling, head over heels until she lands on something soft-but-solid, warm-but-cool and she has a very sinking sensation that she and Rafe really need to stop meeting like this.

She very slowly opens one eye, peering down at the person under her, and sighs heavily as she carefully pushes herself up so that she doesn't do any more damage.

"Are you okay? I didn't ... damage anything, did I?"

At least he's fully clothed this time around.

Then again, Rafe isn't actually sure that's promising, seeing as he's definitely thought of Hana in not-so-fully-clothed ways. Hana and himself in not-so-fully clothed ways. Definitely dreamed about it at least once, to the point where he couldn't quite look her in the eye the following day and Miri had to smack him upside the head, asking him what's wrong.

(And reminding him rather firmly that Hana is hers. Rafe's not much into listening to her.)

A slight groan escapes his lips, his back sorely protesting the sudden fall, but his brain isn't catching up as fast. He's just kind of staring at her because she's beautiful and funny and her face is only centimeters away from his.

"We really need to stop meeting like this," he says to her, unaware he's voicing aloud what she's thinking. Except there's a boyish grin on his face that conveys he isn't all too put out about it.

(Hana is glad that Rafe isn't in the mood to listen to his sister. Also, pleased to know that he's thought of her in not-so-clothed situations, because she may or may not have been doing the same. Mostly because her imagination has more to go on, but still, her imagination is coming up with some pretty interesting ideas.

Ahem.)

The smile that flutters across her face as he says what she's thinking is bright and pleased all the same, before she rocks back on her heels, extending a hand to him so they can both get out of a heap on the floor.

"My thoughts exactly." Among other things. "Are you really okay, though?"

"I'm really, really okay."

Rafe could leave it at that. It's sensible enough, but he thinks there's a reason he hasn't been able to get this girl out of his head, and while he isn't in the mood to listen to his sister, maybe he should try doing it her way sometimes. Where she just dives in, instead of trying to be the Protective Guardian all the time.

Maybe he wants something of his own. Something that's all Rafe's and has nothing to do with his destiny or duties.

"I, ah. I was actually hoping I would run in to you. Again. Not like this, but ..." his voice trails off, that tiny, almost bashful smile still on his face.

Hana doesn't really get it the way that she should. Being a Guardian is a bit of a foreign concept. But she doesn't mind being something that's his. Miri would probably consider it demeaning, people shouldn't belong to other people, but there's a difference. There's someone treating you like something they own and there's someone treating you as theirs, and there's something much warmer in that.

"Yeah?" The smile that crosses her face is a little more gleeful than it should be. She's supposed to be playing it cool, and it's a second after she says it that she realizes it, and cringes before pulling it together. "I mean - really? You were?"

Rafe promises you he definitely doesn't mean the former, Hana. It's more so the latter - and he meant a relationship to her as something that's his, whatever that relationship ends up being; reasons that remind him he's more than the angel he is built to be. He's not cocky enough to assume that Hana would want to go out with him, but well - that's kind of where this is going. In case no one could tell.

"Yeah! I was wondering. I mean, you're you and I'm me." This is already stellar dating etiquette, in case you couldn't tell. "And I was wondering if you wanted to go somewhere. As you. With me."

... Yes.

Yes. Exactly. She wants that, but the words used to convey it aren't exactly the clearest. So for right now she'll just give him a small smile, endeared by the adorable awkwardness of this before taking another step forward and pressing up on her toes.

"Like a date?"

Just to be explicitly clear, of course.

"... Like a date."

It's a confirmation while he mentally kicks himself in the head, because he really should've said that to start with, but no one ever claimed he was the smoothest cat in town, either. But he's genuine. And he likes her. So go out with him, pretty please?

Genuine is one of the things Hana likes about him, to be honest. So many guys try to be smooth or sweet but there's always that way you can tell where it's not real. With Rafe it just feels really natural so she has to assume that that's just how he is. Either that or he's just a really good actor and she's going to be horrified later, but she doesn't think she will be.

And really, Rafe, all you have to do is ask.

"I'd love to." She grins a bit before finally glancing around to see where they actually were. "Once we get out of this rabbit hole."

For the most part all she can really see at the moment is blackness, so she just holds a hand out in front of her, moving forward until she's in a place where she can see again. Also so that she doesn't walk into a wall.
