I really wanted shippy things and didn't feel like combing through memes. So I made a post! Comment to this post with your characters, who you want and an option from the list below, and I will start a thread. Shenanigans will ensue.

IF YOU CHOOSE SURPRISE ME, it will probably be crack. Because I'm in that sort of mood.

Muselist is HERE and it's not completely updated, but I'm going to try and do that tonight. You may select SURPRISE for what character you want, but if you do it will likely be a crossover ship of my choosing. I don't really do M/M slash, but M/F and F/F are both fair game. Annnnnnnd that's it.

Six months into his tenure at Wolfram and Hart, after making the deal to bring his brother back from the dead, Sam's so buried in the work he can't think about anything else. He makes deals with demons and does the cases he's given but there's no joy in it. No emotion, no struggle, just the job.

And he is terrifyingly good at his job.

It's six months in that Dean finds his way to Sam's office, six months after the fact that Dean is punching him in the face for making a deal with the something that profoundly evil. Sam, Sam who has come to embrace his designer suits and bottom line and everyone out for themselves, made it perfectly clear that he has no intention on hitting the road with his brother and running away from the world he's created.

(He could tell him that if he leaves, Dean drops dead, but he doesn't think that that will be the thing to get Dean to stop.)

Dean storms out of the office and Sam gives himself a moment to let the hurt seethe out of him. He wishes that this had happened anywhere but the office - he can already hear the rest of the office buzzing - but he doesn't outwardly respond. He simply moves to the bar and pours himself a glass of scotch.

It's going to be a long day.

Lilah keeps an eye on things. It's her way -- keep your friends close and your enemies closer and somehow Sam is a little bit of both. Once upon a time there might of been something more than that but it isn't anything they've acted on in a long time and it's honestly probably for the best.

It doesn't mean she won't drop into his office unannounced from time to time.

"He didn't seem happy with you," She says in a matter of fact sort of voice.

"You think?"

This isn't to say he's not surprised by Lilah's unannounced visits at this point. In fact, he was almost expecting her, given the situation. He can't see this as something she wouldn't pounce on.

He gestures to the bar. "Drink?"

[succubitch]

"Scotch, neat."

Lilah wouldn't be Lilah if she didn't keep her hands into things as much as possible. She doesn't like to be out of the loop. Being out of the loop can get you killed in a place like this.

Sam pours her the drink, sliding the glass across his desk to her before moving to take a seat again. He's tired. It's evident from the way he sinks into the chair, but he keeps his game face on all the same. It has to be with Lilah.

"He's not going to go quietly."

[succubitch]

"I'd be suspicious if he did."

If Dean just gave up it would probably mean he had something up his sleeve -- or Lilah is particularly paranoid in that line of thinking. But paranoia keeps you alive in Wolfram and Hart.

"What are you going to do about it?"

She sips from her glass before sitting down in the seat across from him. She's curious to hear Sam's plan -- assuming he even has one, of course.

He doesn't. Sam's gotten better at being two steps ahead in his time with Wolfram and Hart but when it comes to Dean, he's such a wild card that he's hard to predict. All the same, he can't break his deal with the firm a second time - that's a guaranteed death sentence, not just for him, but for Dean as well.

"I don't know yet."

He doesn't like admitting that to her, but given how things just happened, he's not sure she can blame him. Then again, it's Lilah. She could probably find a way to work this all out in her favor regardless.

"But killing him isn't on the table."

[succubitch]

"Of course not."

It doesn't surprise Lilah to hear it wasn't. And besides, plenty of ways to subdue a threat without killing them -- and more than a few fates that makes hell look like a twelve start hotel.

Yeah, Sam isn't sure he wants to use any of those either. Dean was a lot of things, but he wouldn't subject him to the kinds of things that Wolfram and Hart liked to keep in their basement.

"I'll figure something out. I just need a little time."

[succubitch]

"The key word there is probably going to be little, you do realize."

The senior partners aren't known for giving a lot of leeway, after all.

"I do. I can handle it." He'll have to, or he knows the senior partners will handle it for him, and that's not something he can risk right now.

[succubitch]

"Are you sure about that?" She arches a brow, as if it to say she isn't quite so sure.

[imnot_likeyou]

"Yes." His jaw is set, determined, not willing to give her an answer that wasn't an absolute. "I've handled Dean before, I can handle him again. I just need a little time."

[succubitch]

"If you say so." She has a feeling it'll be easier said then done but it's not her ass on the line here so she doesn't necessarily care.

He didn't think she would. He takes a deep breath, before glancing back to her with raised eyebrows. "Anything else? Or do you want a front row seat to this whole shit show?"

[succubitch]

"I have been lacking in good entertainment lately," She comments with a shrug of her shoulders.

[imnot_likeyou]

He rolls his eyes a bit. Normally he would be right there with her, but when it's him in the spotlight, floundering to stay afloat, it's not as funny as it should be. "Well, it's intermission. Check back later to see if anything new is happening."

[succubitch]

"I'll be sure to do that." And with that she'll drink the rest of her drink before setting the glass down and getting up to leave.
