I really wanted shippy things and didn't feel like combing through memes. So I made a post! Comment to this post with your characters, who you want and an option from the list below, and I will start a thread. Shenanigans will ensue.

Muselist is HERE and it's not completely updated, but I'm going to try and do that tonight. You may select SURPRISE for what character you want, but if you do it will likely be a crossover ship of my choosing. I don't really do M/M slash, but M/F and F/F are both fair game. Annnnnnnd that's it.

Eliot doesn't really make a habit of associating with Argents.

For one, to the rest of the world they're arms dealers, and Eliot doesn't really need arms. He prefers to use his hands and he also prefers not to kill. That doesn't mean he doesn't run into them every once in a while, like when he was working for Moreau.

(Gerard Argent is just as dangerous as Moreau, if not worse. He's got that look, that very distinctive look of a man with no remorse, and for all the damage Eliot has done, he at least feels the weight of it. He doesn't know how much blood Argent has on his hands but he doesn't understand the number of lives he's taken. That's the kind of thing that makes a man a monster and that's a line that Eliot won't cross.)

When it comes down to it, they're a resource. They know about things that Eliot doesn't, understands things about the world that he won't step into, more for the sake of his sanity than anything else. But when a werewolf takes Hardison, and Eliot needs to do whatever it takes to get him back, he doesn't try and handle it on his own. He takes it to an expert. He's heard through the grapevine that Chris Argent can be trusted, not like his father, and when he shows up to make his case, he's directed to Allison.

(That is the one thing he appreciated about them. Matriarchal leadership - so long as they don't have a snake whispering in her ear.)

Still, Allison isn't what he expected. Even just by looking at her, he can tell she's formidable, and he does like a formidable woman. But he's not going to let himself be distracted. It's Hardison.

"I'll try not to take up to too much of your time."

Allison isn't like Gerard. There was a time where he whispered in her ear, tried to twist and warp her like him but she's gotten free of that hold now. She's made mistakes and is stronger for it. She may be a hunter but she is not a killer. Not if there are other options. More than anything she focuses on protecting people. On keeping people from getting hurt or killed more than killing things herself. It's a small distinction, but an important one.

She doesn't know Eliot but she's heard a little about him from her dad. She doesn't know what to expect -- other than one of his friend was taken and he wants to save him.

That's a sentiment she can understand.

She shakes her head a little.

"You aren't taking it up at all."

It's a distinction Eliot can understand. He's trying to become a better person than the one he was when he worked for Moreau, and Hardison is part of the reason he's been able to do that. There's a different between protecting someone and needing to be protected from, and it's the reason that Eliot seeks out Allison's help, not Gerard's.

"My friend was taken by a wolf. I know a lot of things, but this isn't really my area. And when it comes to something this important, I'm not above asking for help."

Contrary to popular belief.

"Tell me everything you know, the more information we have to begin with the closer we are to finding your friend."

Allison doesn't hesitate to offer her help -- if a person is in danger she's going to do her best to save them.

Eliot nods for a moment, before taking a few steps closer. "He was big. Over six feet and built like a brick wall. We were out on a job, trying to find something for a client and he came out of nowhere. I tried to hold him off, but he threw me into a tree and he grabbed Hardison. When I could managed to get it together, they were gone."

"Over six feet?" Allison grimaces. It doesn't sound like anyone she knows off hand, which doesn't mean much of anything, really.

He nods a bit in agreement, before holding up his hand to indicate how tall he means. It's a pretty impressive height, but then again, Eliot isn't really that tall. "Built like a bear. I'm pretty sure it would have taken a lot for me to put him down, even if he was human."

"So he's big -- anything else, any unusual markings or scars?" Something to identify him by, maybe.

Eliot's eyebrow raises a bit at that, because there weren't any he noticed, and at the same time. "Don't werewolves not normally scar?"

"Yes, but some people get the bite later on life -- and they can get tattoos, though not easily."

Eliot nods a bit in acknowledgement, raising one arm across his middle and resting his chin on his hand. It takes a moment of focus, before gesturing to his left arm. "I caught a bit of black on his bicep - couldn't make out the rest of the image."

"At least we'll know to look for a tattoo on his arm -- it's not much, but it's something."

He nods a bit. "Sorry I don't have more for you. I didn't exactly get a good look at the guy." He is usually better at getting that information, but he wasn't expecting an ambush and he should have been.

"It's fine. I know it can be hard to get details in these sitations." It makes things more difficult but not impossible.

[liberatedcroatia]

"I'm usually better at it." Especially when it matters. This matters and he can't let Hardison get hurt for his mistake. "I hear that you're the best. Your family ... has a reputation, but you? You're on the level. I just want my guy back."

[transferee]

"I'm trying to change my family's reputation." It's not an easy task, but a worthy one in Allison's eyes.

"I'll get him back. I promise."

Eliot can respect that. He's never really made an effort to try and change his reputation, mostly because he's trying to keep the fact that he's gone to the good guys side under wraps, but Allison doesn't have to abide by the same rules.

She doesn't need the fear to do her job effectively.

"Thank you. And if I can help ... " He's there. He may not be supernaturally powered, but he can still fight.

No. And Allison would rather people not be afraid of her.

For the most part.

Those who hurt her friends or the innocent should be afraid, but other than that.

She nods. "I'll contact you as soon as I know more."

He gives a bit of a nod in agreement. "Thank you." And with that, he'll get out of her way and let her work.
