I really wanted shippy things and didn't feel like combing through memes. So I made a post! Comment to this post with your characters, who you want and an option from the list below, and I will start a thread. Shenanigans will ensue.
OPTIONS:
1 - Fluff
2 - Angst
3 - Crack
4 - Surprise Me!
IF YOU CHOOSE SURPRISE ME, it will probably be crack. Because I'm in that sort of mood.
Muselist is HERE and it's not completely updated, but I'm going to try and do that tonight. You may select SURPRISE for what character you want, but if you do it will likely be a crossover ship of my choosing. I don't really do M/M slash, but M/F and F/F are both fair game. Annnnnnnd that's it.
... Go, fight, win!

It's actually kind of rare, really. The rift tends to not really kill people on impact - it's Chicago that does them in in the end, but occasionally, occasionally a rift won't open quite at ground level and send the newly arrived Wanderer falling through the air at an almost alarming speed. It doesn't generally end well, but when you get lucky, there's a very fast person near by to help catch you and break your fall.
Davina Claire is very lucky.
For one, she isn't dropped from that far off the ground - the kind of height that would usually come with a broken arm if she happened to land on the hard ground but Alexander Abernathy happens see her falling and zooms over to break that fall. It's actually a whole lot smoother than it should be, almost like something out of a movie, and if he didn't have a scared new Wanderer on his hands (or more like in his arms), he would probably pat himself on the back for that.
Instead, he just gives her a slightly awkward smile. "Hi."

Being caught by a very cute boy is another and it throws her off guard a little, causing her to smile in a flustered sort of way. She doesn't often actually spend time with people her own age.
"Hey."

So he'll do what he wants.
"I'm Alexander." Just so we're clear. "Welcome to Chicago."

"How did I get to Chicago? I was just in New Orleans."
