I really wanted shippy things and didn't feel like combing through memes. So I made a post! Comment to this post with your characters, who you want and an option from the list below, and I will start a thread. Shenanigans will ensue.

Muselist is HERE and it's not completely updated, but I'm going to try and do that tonight. You may select SURPRISE for what character you want, but if you do it will likely be a crossover ship of my choosing. I don't really do M/M slash, but M/F and F/F are both fair game. Annnnnnnd that's it.

Ethan meets her gaze when she looks back at him, and he breathes in deeply, unaware that he is grounding her. He just feels-- he feels something there. It's hard for him to slow down long enough to feel those things, to have anything that is real at all.

It's why he is so extroverted, charming, but he has had very few close friends in his life. He doesn't open up. He doesn't stop or slow.

He swallows at that feeling, thudding powerfully through him as he smiles softly at what she says. His hand remains on her arm still, and it's impossible to describe how what she says has an effect on him. It's a strong intense effect.

"You won't ever have to know," Ethan says, and his voice is soft as his gaze drifts from her eyes down to her mouth and then back up again with a tiny, charming smile. She came to him for help. It's likely not the best timing to act on that thing he feels between them.

It doesn't stop the thought from crossing his mind.

Or from her feeling it on her end. As much as Ethan's emotions keep her on an even keel, she can't escape something that strong and intense even if she wants to. It doesn't help that she's been feeling something similar on her own end as well. This bond, whatever it is between then, is intense and warm and something that she wants to keep hold of for as long as she can.

It's similar to what she felt for Klaus, but better on so many ways and so many different levels. Klaus is bad for her and she knows it, with the danger and lack of trust on their part, but Ethan is different. Ethan is everything he could have been, but not Klaus at all. This feeling, whatever it is between them, is stronger than anything she's felt before and while she's not sure if it's her ability making it feel like more, or if it's real, but when it comes to Ethan, she doesn't really care.

It's why when his eyes drift to her mouth, no matter how brief it is, she acts on impulse, her hand finding his shoulder as she draws him closer and leaning in to kiss him softly.

This bond is incredibly intense and warm. He is drawn to it. Ethan is drawn to her in a way which can't be caged or locked away, and he doesn't want to do either of those things. Not when she is looking at him like that, and Ethan doesn't think anyone's ever looked at him like that before. He doesn't think he has ever been able to help someone stay on an even keel at all, to be someone they can seek when it all goes to hell.

She acts on impulse, and Ethan responds with instinct and impulse of his own. Thoughts fly out of his head as her mouth finds his own, and he breathes her in. His hand slides up to cup the side of her face, and he closes his eyes, lingering against her for a moment before he reaches out.

His arm winds around the back of her waist. His fingertips press against her back, and Ethan pulls her in closer to him as he deepens the kiss against her mouth, letting himself feel all that strong intensity which he knows now is shared. It's not his imagining this thing between them. His fingers slip back into her hair as he closes his eyes, and by the time he pulls back, it's breathlessly.

His mouth parted as he looks at her with a tiny, pleased smile. "Cami, I've wanted to do that for quite some time."

Cami all but melts into the embrace, her hands finding his arms to steady her as she leans in closer. It's been a long time since feeling something like this has felt like a good thing, and she wants to soak up as much of it as she can. She closes her eyes, drowns everything else out, and just focuses on the moment. It feels wrong to try and do anything else.

When he pulls back and smiles, she can't help but do the same, though hers turns a bit teasing. "I know." She could feel it, in case he's managed to forget. But eventually the smile shifts to something a little more sincere. "Me too."

Ethan feels the beautiful way she all but melts into the embrace. His arms slide further around her as he pulls her in against his chest. He doesn't think he has ever felt anything like this before. Ethan can't slow down long enough to feel it but now it's like the world is standing still and the both of them are standing with it, completely still, wrapped up in each other.

He laughs at her teasing, and this shameless, little smirk tugs across his face as he meets her gaze. "That's... right. I actually forgot you'd be able to feel that. Y'know if you didn't feel the same way, that would be an awkward feeling to receive from someone else," Ethan says though he's joking. The smirk tugs into a smile of his own warm, genuine, grateful that he has the chance to know her and to kiss her and to be close with her like this. "...I'm really happy it's a Me too."

"It would be pretty awkward. Which is why I'm really glad it's not." Because Ethan is someone she doesn't mind falling for, or at least taking those first few steps towards. It almost makes it feel like she's finally getting started, not stuck in the same holding pattern she always was. "And I'd say that I'm glad, you're glad that it's a 'me too' too, but that may just land us in a spiral we'll never escape from."

Ethan laughs softly, ducking his head a bit as the smile tugs across his face a bit further. He lifts it up again before he shakes his head with a crooked smile on his face. He lifts his hand up to frame the side of her face, slipping a strand of her hair behind her ear. She is beautiful, and he can't quite get over the way she is looking at him at the moment. "Could be a terrible consequence of 'me too's constantly given. It's true though I promise, darling, I would make certain we'd un-spiral very quickly."

She smiles a bit, leaning into his hand a bit as she nods. "I knew I could count on you." She's not really sure where to take this from here, what to say or do, but this moment is good, and it's almost as though she's feeling it doubly, his feelings magnifying her own. So she's just going to keep looking at him and hope that he can guide her the rest of the way.

Ethan's smile widens at what she says and how she leans into his hand. There's a fondness in his expression, which is intense. He doesn't have her ability so it's as though he can sense she's feeling uncertain with the strength of all the emotions in the room. His thumb slides over her cheek before it slides down to find her own hand. He locks their fingers together.

"...Cami O'Connell, would you like to go on an official date with me?"

If they have a lovely date and he feels as though they will, they can take it from there.

She feels as though they will too. In fact, she can't imagine not having a good time with Ethan, which bodes very well for their date, to be honest. She grins a bit when he officially asks her, because calling it an "official" date is pretty adorable, before she nods.

"Ethan Hale, I would love to go on an official date with you."

"I'm quite happy to hear that," Ethan says softly before he lifts up his hand to frame the side of her face, and he leans into kiss her again, lingering against her mouth before he pulls back slowly. "For now, it is late, and I can let you stay in the guest room... as long as you like actually."

They're in the forest far away from most of the people in Chicago. It could give her a break from feeling emotions though there are werewolf brothers living in the house so there are still intense emotions. There are just fewer of them having the emotions than in the city proper.

Intense emotions are fine, so long as there are only a few of them, and she's accustomed to them. Ethan's have become easy to separate from her own as she knows where they're coming from, but living in the middle of the city means sudden emotions can assault her at any time. She closes her eyes into the kiss, soaking it in for the moment, and as much as she wasn't expecting the offer, it's clear from the look on her face how grateful she is for it.

"Thank you," she says with a nod. "Are you sure your brothers will be okay with that?"

It'd be one thing if it was just Ethan and he knew what he was getting into, but there are five other people that live there and she wants him to be sure.

Ethan smiles softly at the question as he meets her gaze and then nods. He doesn't have to check with them. He knows them so intensely well, and he knows their response already. The tiny smile tugs across his face but there's still the nodding.

"I'm sure they won't mind at all. They'd be happy to help. You're free to stay here any time you like," he insists, and he breathes in slowly meeting her gaze. The tiny smile on his face widens a bit. "Granted, we can get a bit emotional ourselves specially during... or near... the... full moon, but--"

He bites down on his lip, shaking his head as he looks down again.

"You're welcome here. I know they'd agree with that."

She nods a bit. She could have figured out the full moon bit from the "werewolf" end of things, but there's probably ways that they can work around that. "I can handle it." She has to. It's a part of Ethan, whether he likes it or not, and if she wants Ethan, she has to have all of him.

"We'll figure it out."

Ethan smiles softly at what she says and the certainty she says it with. He nods as he looks at her, locking their fingers together. It means something to him beyond what he can express that there's the we and that she is so certain of it.

"We will," he agrees softly, and somehow he knows it's true.

She smiles, before glancing up to the time. "If I'm going to stay here I should probably go and get some stuff from my apartment." Just so she isn't, you know, lacking clothing while wandering around in front of Ethan's brothers. "But I'll be back in an hour, maybe?"

Ethan smiles back at her before he nods in response. "Right, stuff like clothes and toothbrushes are likely a good idea," Ethan says genuinely as he tightens his hold on her hand, and he'll walk her to the door and let her borrow one of their cars so she can make it there and back quickly and smoothly. He's still reeling from that kiss and from knowing they will soon go on a date together.

Yep, soon they will have a date, and she's still reeling a bit herself, but for right now, she's going to head home and pack her things and say goodbye to her crowded, loud apartment building.

She can't really say she'll miss it.
