[Cora shrugs casually, almost like no big deal, but she wanted to do something nice for him, and she doesn't want to make a big deal out of it.]

I was up early, so I figured I'd make breakfast.

[cramped]

[ Isaac flashes her a sleepy, doe-eyed smile in appreciation. ]

Oh. Cool, thanks.

[ He grabs a plate from the cupboard and wanders back over to the table to start filling it. ]

[And once she's finished cooking, she'll do the same, before coming to join him at the table. Thank you werewolf appetites.]

So Derek texted me this morning. He and Braedan might be heading out this way in a bit.

[cramped]

Oh yeah? [ To his slight credit, Isaac actually waits until he's finished chewing and swallowing his piece of bacon before questioning. ] Anything we need to be worried about, or...? [ It's hard to tell if she means they're just dropping by while they're both in town replenishing their stock, or if there's actual business involved. ]

[She gives a small shrug in return.]

He didn't say. But I have a feeling he won't be here long.

[cramped]

That's good. [ No offense to Cora or anything but Isaac still isn't Derek's biggest fan. They've come along way since the time when Derek threw him out of his apartment but he still bears the scar from that wound. ]

... Do you hear that? [ Isaac's brows furrow a bit as he sets down his fork. ]

[Her head tips to the side and she turns to find the source of the sound, eyes sharp for any sign of trouble.]

No, what?

[cramped]

[ Isaac hesitates, uncertain. ] It... Kinda sounds like a cat. Well, multiple cats.

[Her head tips to the side for a moment, and her eyes widen when she hears it, glancing towards the open window that leads towards the fire escape.]

Actually, I think it's more like kittens.
