(These gifs were too perfect for my purposes.)
For some fun RP shenanigans. Feel free to request a character or have me surprise you. Picture prompts, other wordly or making me write the starter is all good!
Have at it!

I thought you were heading back to Mystic Falls.
[More of a statement than a question, but at least a start to the conversation all the same.]

I suppose it's a comfort, with so many enemies heading his way.
[They're converging on New Orleans like a plague, and she isn't entirely sure how to stop them.]
Though I'm not sure why he's looking for your help in particular.

She's not going back to Beacon Hills unless Scott calls and really needs her help, and her phone hasn't rang yet).
But having pack around isn't exactly a bad thing, and while Derek is in and out of the city, working on things with Braedan in trying to track down Malia's mom, Cora and Isaac are left to their own devices, which is probably for the best. Their rent is paid, and they're free to spend their time how they want to.
The downside to leaving Cora and Isaac to their own devices, however, is that Cora eventually learns that the way to Isaac's heart is partially through his stomach. Which is why one morning, he will wake up to smell his favorite breakfast, freshly cooked and already sitting on the kitchen table.
And, somewhere in the background, the scent of kitten. Because even though they're hidden back in Cora's room, where Isaac cannot see them, the scent lingers. And they aren't exactly the quietest creatures to begin with.
But Cora is with the food and giving him her most innocent smile possible.]
Morning. Hungry?

Morning. [ He yawns, rubbing one of his eyes with a closed fist as he takes in the sight of the table, loaded down with plates of delicious-looking food. ] I'm starving, actually. [ Which of course is nothing new or out of the ordinary; Isaac could probably give even competitive eaters a run for their money on any given day. ]
What's the occasion? [ It hasn't yet struck him that this was all specifically done with him in mind. Nor has he quite honed in on the smell of the kittens, distracted as he currently is by the aroma of melting butter and syrupy sweetness. ]

I was up early, so I figured I'd make breakfast.
no subject
Oh. Cool, thanks.
[ He grabs a plate from the cupboard and wanders back over to the table to start filling it. ]

So Derek texted me this morning. He and Braedan might be heading out this way in a bit.

He didn't say. But I have a feeling he won't be here long.

... Do you hear that? [ Isaac's brows furrow a bit as he sets down his fork. ]

No, what?

Actually, I think it's more like kittens.
stefan
beginning of 3a-ish?
He chooses Beacon Hills because ... well, there's just something about it, something he can't put his finger on, and since that's worked out so well for him in the past, you'd think that he would run screaming in the opposite direction, he doesn't. He's curious, more than anything else, and that is enough to get him to stick around, at least for a little while.
But he's not going to be a high school student. Not again. Nope.
He will, however, pass himself off as a lazy college student, and get a job at a mechanic's shop (apparently their last guy got crushed by car he was working on because the lift gave out - weird), and ignore the looks he gets from the local werewolves, whether it's because they know what he is (some dark sulking guy in a leather jacket likes to glare at the back of his head when thinks Stefan isn't looking and follow him around town, which can be hilarious when Stefan has no problem leading him through places like Jungle and Sin-ema to lose him), or because they're simply confused by the smell of dead person (the assistant at the local animal clinic, and adorably so at that. Stefan's thinking about getting a dog).
All that aside, there's very few people who truly have his attention, and a dark haired huntress with the last name "Argent" (he's run into her family before, back in the 20s, it isn't exactly a stellar relationship) who he should probably leave alone because it would definitely jeopardize the quiet existence he's been building here, but he just can't help himself.
Which would be why he's buying her coffee without her consent for the second day in a row when she just so happens to be behind him on the coffee line.
(Let's be honest, of the things he could be doing without her consent, that's fairly harmless.
He's also totally going to keep doing it until she does something about it, so there's that.)
(Yes, he's aware she's a high school student. He doesn't want to talk about it.)]

This time, when she receives the news as she's reaching into her wallet to pull out her debit card, she doesn't give him the chance to escape into the crowd. ]
Hey!
[ She calls after him, reaching a hand out to lightly touch his shoulder. ]
no subject
Yes?
no subject
She can't help but to laugh a bit nervously. Because she didn't actually think this through very well. Or, you know. At all. ]
Sorry, I wanted to thank you. For the coffee. Um, that was you yesterday too, wasn't it?
no subject
Oh, yeah. Must have been. I like ... paying it forward, you know?
[Liar.]
no subject
Anyway. I'm Allison. I don't think I've seen you around before? [ She's been coming to this coffee shop for years. ]
no subject
No, I'm new in town. I'm Stefan.
