[And it's not like it's something she doesn't give herself crap for. It's just not very often she catches a cooking bug and tries to make him regret loving something. Not intentionally, but accidentally.]

[To be fair: her mac and cheese is still his favorite meal. It brought him back to nights when Joe was working late and Iris would put herself in charge. Even though it was from a box and all she did was boil water, it was comfort food, and he wouldn't trade it for the world.

But that doesn't mean he won't tease her every now and then.

He smiles softly, and reaches for her to pull her closer.]

[Iris goes willingly, looping her arms around his neck.]

It's probably a meta. You should really catch them so your wife can be in the kitchen without being a fire hazard.
