He had things he wanted to say, that he's been sitting on for a long time trying to find the right romantic moment and knowing they had the time to wait. It's usually one disaster after the other with the Mikaelsons, but Neal thinks he's been more than patient.

He waited five years, helping Hayley look for cures they weren't sure they would ever find. He waited seven, knowing that after just losing her family, throwing herself a wedding would be too much on the bitter side of bittersweet. He honestly doesn't even care so much about the wedding, wouldn't care if it weren't for the fact that he's seen her collection of wedding gowns.

He wants to try and give her what she wants. It's what he thought he was doing.]

Last I checked, there were very few things we couldn't have if we put our minds to it.

Honestly, Sweets objects to the word "crazy" in Riley's case, as she had been through a considerable trauma, and that does things to the brain, but it isn't his job to validate her trauma. He just needs to determine if she knew what she was doing was wrong.]
