It's...a long and convoluted story, like most things in my life, but the gist is she's in a magical coma and I have to keep her safe until she can wake up -- which can't happen until our friend Bonnie dies. If we try to wake up Elena it will kill Bonnie.

If you try and break the spell, it just auto kills your friend?

Seriously. It's total bullshit, but it's real.

Have you tried taking her to other witches? Maybe there's some kind of loophole.
