It's a kissing trap? ( He almost calls her out, this is not where her mind should be (yes, his mind lives there all the time, this is his mind, not hers), but the more he thinks about it, the more it makes sense. ) So, logic would follow if we kissed, we're let out. Romantic trap.

[He does like kissing her, last she checked. She takes another step closer and flashes him a smile.]

Hey, you know firsthand I'm basically a teenager when it comes to that.

( Hours spent kissing is sometimes more pleasurable than the whole act and a lot less tiring at his age. )

But, I don't like it when it's being dictated to me.

( He softens then, as does his expression. Her smile tends to melt even his most ornery of moods and he settles against her naturally. It's been a long time since it's felt this natural with anyone. A real damn long time. And he lets that sink into the kiss he shares, giving in to the mistletoe's demands. A few seconds pass as he lets himself get into it and he can hear the mistletoe flop to the ground. )

[Elena doesn't either, but as far as traps go, this is a fairly harmless one and partially her fault. She lets the kiss linger a little longer after the mistletoe falls, simply because she does enjoy kissing him, before pulling back with a sigh.]
