( it's damon's first visit to verdant and he's here on his own, just looking to have some fun. he's on a little touristy trip around the world. what can he say? he's bored of being in mystic falls. small towns just don't do it for him. too much drama where everyone knows everyone. pfft.

sensing her approach, he's ready with a cutesy little smile when she slides up next to him. ) Mm. If that isn't a line I've heard about a million times. Still love it though. ( he takes a good look at her and he thinks he's found his plaything for the night. damon catches the eye of the bartender and signals for him to come round. )

Buy you a drink, gorgeous? What with this being my first night in town and all, I could use the company.

What do you feel like having? A cocktail? Or would you like one of these? ( he lifts two shot glasses up. they're filled with some bourbon. his favorite drink of choice. )

So are you new to Star City?

( damon's smile grows wider at her response. he likes a girl who can drink. he'll happily give her a glass and reaches for the bottle, ready to top it up again once they're done with their shots. )

Very new. In fact, I just arrived here this morning. Thought I'd spend the Christmas holidays in a new place altogether. ( he leans in a bit closer and playfully whispers into her ear. ) Seems like I picked the right town. Go me. ( he's totally a hundred percent done with mystic falls for now and has no plans to return. leaning away a little, damon looks at her with unabashed interest. )

What about you? Born and bred in Star City?

[Is this, specifically, her Star City? No. But she did grow up in a Star City, so that works as well as anything else.]
