[House has commandeered the piano from the doctor's lounge. Playing distracts him from his pain more than anything else happens to lately, so he's playing his way through "Goodnight, Irene."

It's late. He's not expecting anyone else to be around. He just wants to be alone with his thoughts, and he's waiting on results for a patient. Two birds with one stone.]
