It's the moment he's been dreading since they got here. Rebekah's abilities have been keeping people away but he can't (won't) let her use compulsion on Peter. After everything the man's done for him, he's not going to let her alter his mind just to keep them safe.

He does have to tell her, though, while he has no intention of leaving, there's no doubt that Peter will try and convince him to do the right thing. He makes his way back to the vacation house, dropping his hat on the front table as he comes in the door.]

[Terminal City isn't really a city. It's more of a maze of half torn down buildings and hidden tunnels. To be fair, it's any Manticore graduate's paradise because there are plenty of places to hide, unseen.

It also is a toxic waste dump, so it keeps most of those who aren't immune out.

Long story short: not the prettiest place in the world, but it's home. Alec and Jessica are currently standing outside it. Alec doesn't have parents, so this is the closest Jessica will get to meeting the family.]

Well, visitors got regarded with about just as much suspicion. Buffy is just trying to get in and do her job but can't seem to go anywhere without being noticed. It's hard.

Still, she is in the Grill, looking around to see if there's an empty table. She refuses to sit at the bar. There's a tall dark and totally not handsome guy there looking at her with the intensity that's usually reserved for something you strongly dislike.

She got called to a murder scene that didn't look like a murder so much as it did dinner.

That was the problem with LA -- and more to the point knowing things about LA -- at the end of the day, Gloria knew the difference between a random animal attack, a werewolf attack, and apparently vampires were a thing too. It was more than she ever wanted to know about anything, but since she turned it seemed to have become one thing after another.

She didn't ask for any of this. Apparently in her family you don't have to.

She's rounding the alley to look for the vampire more evidence, and once her partner is out of earshot she had her weapon drawn, using her flashlight arm to brace it. This thing just killed an entire family in their sleep. The bullets might not be effective, but Gloria really wants to make it hurt.
