All entrances are through the sewers. Not the most glamorous, but it means people won't decide to drop in and visit on a whim to cause us trouble.

We're even rebuilding some of the buildings that aren't as sturdy as they used to be. And trying to figure out how to make this inhabitable for Ordinaries.

Given that you started human, I don't know if you guys would have had a reason to. You would have just called them human. We never were ordinary.

Well, I dunno how we started, I mean all of us have been turned, but I met one once who was like three thousand years old, so maybe we've always existed in some form
