[Hello, Elle. This is Walter sidling up to you with a glass jar full of Red Vines. He extends them to her as he speaks, a small smile on his face.]

Peter says that if I have someone to supervise, I can go to the diner not too far from here for a milkshake. I personally prefer strawberry, but I'm sure they have a multitude of flavors.

[You know, she's not generally the person someone would put in charge of supervising anyone as she's sort of unhinged herself but? Her face lights up in excitement and she grabs one of those red vines, tearing off the end before responding.]

So when are we going?

[He's super pleased that she'll go with him. He ambles over to get his coat and hat, speaking as he goes.]

There's a diner on the other side of campus. We can walk.

[She stands up, letting the red vine drape from her mouth as she grabs her own coat.]

[He places the glass jar back in its place, before adjusting his hat on his head.]

They make the best strawberry milkshake. I've done a comparative study.

I'll have to take your word for it then. You do seem to be the expert.

I pride myself in being an expert on many things.

[he turns and offers his arm to her]

[She nods, taking his arm.]

We shall.

[They make their way out of the lab and onto the quad, before he turns back to her with a smile.]

Are you enjoying working with the division?

[electrokinetic]

Yeah, I mean, it's a little different from the Company, but I like it. [It's better than trying to be on her own, without a purpose.]

[anycorpsewilldo]

Good. I'm glad. We like having you.

[electrokinetic]

Really? [She's kind of surprised to hear that, honestly. People don't generally you know, like her.]

[anycorpsewilldo]

[Yes, well, they are an odd bunch. Walter may be speaking more for himself than the rest of the team, and he's not exactly sane, but it's the sentiment that counts.]

Agent Dunham commented the other day that you're doing good work.

[electrokinetic]

Really? She did? [Okay, maybe she's a little too excited about praise, but it's not something she's ever gotten a lot of.]

[He nods.]

She thinks you have some potential.

No one's ever said I had potential before.

Perhaps you've just been spending time with the wrong people.

It's possible. The Company wasn't really known for it's kindness.

You don't talk much about the Company. I am very curious as to what their purpose was.

They "helped" people with abilities. [She even does the little airquotes because...help is a relative term really.]

I take it by help you mean research on?

Or imprisoned.
