[Doesn't matter if she can't drink scotch. Private fun with this woman? Way more interesting than riding with Eddie.]

[There's a lot of promise in the smile she offers Bo.]

[she tips her head to the side as she reaches down the bar to grab the bottle with one hand, and taking Diana's with the other, giving her a bit of a spin as she lead the way.]

Follow me.

[Diana has to stifle her laughter, for fear of drawing too much attention. Even if Bo is a regular, she doesn't imagine stealing hooch is exactly encouraged.

But this is way more fun than she could have anticipated.

So she follows Bo, expertly keeping her tread silent, despite the five inch heels.]

[Well, it's easier when the bartender is your grandfather.

She leads her into one of the back rooms, and grabs two glasses to start pouring.]

Single or double?

Single.

[It would be a shame to waste too much booze. And Diana is a believable lightweight, anyway.

She glances around the room curiously.]

Interesting bar, really.

[Bo nods as she goes to settle near a set of comfortable chairs, setting the two glasses on a side table and starting to pour.]

Trick's been running it for a while. It's supposed to be neutral ground, between the Dark and the Light.

[Diana happily plops herself on the floor, leaning back against one of the chairs.]

I had a friend who ran a bar like that in Ohio.

It got blown up. Twice.

[Bo laughs a bit.]

Haven't managed to do that yet. I'm starting to think it has some kind of protection spell on it or something.

That's pretty badass.

[Note to self: Tell Denise to look into protection spells if she's ever crazy enough to open another bar.]

Light and Dark? Is that like Seelie and Unseelie?

[She gives her a bit of a blank look.]

I don't know? The only really difference I can see is that the Light have more rules to make themselves look better. The Dark don't really care so much about pretense.

[Sounds like the Camarilla and the Sabbat. Only less dead people.]

[She nods.]

All politics, all crappy people, all the time. It's why I chose neither.

Sounds kinda ballsy. I like it.

[She shrugs, but the shrug isn't as dismissive as it seems, because Diana isn't the first one to tell her that.]

Most Fae have to choose when they come of age. I was raised outside the Fae, so I didn't find out what I was until later. When I got on their radar? They handled it really badly. There wasn't anything to entice me to either side, so I decided I didn't want either side. Why couldn't I choose to have my own life?

[Wow can Diana relate. Having one sister who's Sabbat and another who's Camarilla? Forever stuck in the middle as a declared Indie? She gets it. She really gets it.

And so she raises her glass.]

To independence. No matter what the cost.

[Bo smiles a bit at that, before clinking her glass against Diana's.]

To choosing for ourselves.

[She'll bow her head to that.]

To choice.

[Bo nods as she pulls back to take a sip of her drink.]

I take it things are just as easy for Cainites?

You're either Camarilla, Sabbat, or cannon fodder.

[She smirks.]

Our own versions of Light and Dark, I guess.

What's the difference between the two?

Camarilla are a little more concerned with not getting caught. Sabbat are a little more interested in being the monsters under your bed.

[Her eyebrows rise a bit before she nods.]

Yep. That sounds like the Light and the Dark. Not that either is really interested in exposing us, but the Dark definitely have a more vested interest in being terrifying.
