And that earns him a look because why, Tyler. Why can't you take a brush off like a normal person. "Tyler."

He just offers her a shit eating grin at that. "Yes, Bela?" Sorry, that brush off is not going to work on him.

She sighs heavily, before reaching for his arm and pulling him out of the main area, away from prying ears. Whatever is going on, they're not going to discuss it out in the open, and she isn't going to be able to get rid of him otherwise.

He's slightly annoying that way. "Come with me."

"Lead the way."

He has no idea what's going on but he figures it's something they can't just discuss out in the open.

And with that, they will wander their way back into the more private rooms before closing the doors behind her.

"I may or may not have come into possession of a particular type of wood that can kill a particular hybrid, and a certain group of vampires may have become interested in it, and they're not interested in paying."

[lockwood]

Tyler's eyes widen at that. He may not be part of Klaus' sireline anymore but some of his friends are.

"You have white oak? We need to destroy that. If he dies so does Elena and Caroline."

To be honest, he could care less about the Salvatores, but Caroline and Elena are friends. He can't let something happen to them.

She pauses before shaking her head. "That's the thing. It won't." Not that she can really say for certain, but she's heard enough to give the rumor some credence. "There's a rumor floating around that a witch named Davina Claire has broken Klaus's sire line. Should he die, he's the only one. It won't impact the vampires connected to him."

[lockwood]

A few different emotions flit through Tyler's expression at that news. It's kind of what he always wanted -- even if he's long since given up his own vendetta against Klaus it doesn't mean he wouldn't celebrate if the Original hybrid kicked it.

"So what's the problem then? Let them get the wood and kill the bastard."

"I am a businesswoman. If I simply gave things away, then people would simply think they could steal from me whenever they liked." Bela is stubborn and she does have her principles. "That, and I am fairly certain that even if I did give it to them willingly, they'd kill me anyway. I am a great proponent of me being alive."

[lockwood]

"I am too. I was hoping they'd just be satisfied with killing Klaus." A boy can dream, okay? "But if that's not the case, then I guess we better get it back."

[enjoythe_ride]

She nods in agreement, before crossing her arms in front of her chest. "Do you think your witch friend might be able to help me cloak it somehow?"

[lockwood]

"Yeah, I can ask Bonnie. I don't see why she wouldn't help." At least he hasn't begged her for favors as much as the rest of their group has.

Bela nods in agreement. "I'd be more than willing to trade for it - a favor for a favor."

[lockwood]

"Good, that's more than most people offer her." The Salvatores are kind of bad just expecting favors from Bonnie with nothing in return.

[enjoythe_ride]

She nods in agreement. "Now we just have to navigate our way out of here without being caught by my buyers. I don't think it's the kind of spell you can do long distance."

[lockwood]

"Probably not. We'll need to make up a reason for us to leave that they won't be suspicious of."

[enjoythe_ride]

"I'm sure we can think of something," she says with a small smile. "All we have to do is get creative." And she's already working together a plan, because she's used to the men in her life being dumb and useless.

[lockwood]

"I think I might have an idea." He likes to think he isn't completely dumb and useless, okay?

[enjoythe_ride]

It's true, Tyler is better than the Winchesters, which is her standard, unfortunately. The rest of them spend a lot of their time trying to threaten her into giving them what they want, which never ends well for them.

"I'll follow your lead."

[lockwood]

That's such a terribly lower standard, Bela.

"Okay."

And then he steps in closer to her, places his hands on her cheeks and pulls her in for a kiss.

Yes he plans on making it look like they're busy making out and that's why they need to make an exit.

It's a solid plan, okay?

The kissing is not what she's expecting, and normally that's her go-to play. She should have been anticipating it as a result, but it's probably for the best that she wasn't. It makes her reaction much more genuine, and the way she melts into him, natural. Her hand moves to his side to steady herself and for the most part she kisses him back, staying close as she does.

It surprises him how genuine her response seems to be, but that's something to reflect on later. Instead he deepens the kiss, allowing one of his hands to tangle into her hair. He figures if it seems like they're preoccupied with one another and sneaking out for that reason no one else will suspect anything.

Yep, that's definitely a good plan. And she will lean into the kiss before starting to move slowly - not enough to break a kiss, but just enough to get them into one of the hidden alcoves in the corner where they'll be out of sight.

And he'll step with her into the darkness, slipping away past prying eyes.

Once they're out of view, she'll pull back and blink, a bit flustered. "Nice move."
