[Bo is having a day.

She's had it with her days of being in over her head with regards to Fae shenanigans. She wants to actually feel like she's part of their society and while that learning curve is getting smaller and smaller as time goes by, today is a day that's particularly exacerbated how large that gap really is.

So for right now, she's taking a break. She's kicking back with a drink, she's going to find someone pretty to flirt with, and that is going to be that.

She jingles her glass for the bartender - Trick is taking the day off - and gives him her best smile.]

What does a girl have to do to get a refill around here?

[There's something off about the bar. Diana sensed it the moment she walked in. Turning the heads of strangers is something she enjoys. But the way they're looking at her isn't exactly admiration.

They're looking at her like she doesn't quite belong.

But fine. Whatever. Happy to leave them alone. Just as soon as Eddie gets the motor running again.

Any minute now...

Meanwhile, she perches herself on a stool by the bar, crossing her legs. Her dress has one helluva slit tonight. She was on her way to a party. When the brunette at the bar comments, Diana offers her a sympathetic grimace.]

Try unbuttoning the top button.

[Bo glances over at the sound of the second voice, tipping her head to the side as she watches her. The others are right about that much - she doesn't belong, but it Bo's mind, that's what makes her interesting.]

Unfortunately my usual tricks? Don't fall into my good friend Marty's wheelhouse.

[Marty dutifully refills her drink with a smile, and she grins back at him before turning back to Diana.]

He's more of a broad shoulders, tight jeans and stubble sort of guy.

[Diana scrunches up her nose.]

Apparently, my radar is off tonight.

[She'll just blame that on all the funny looks she's getting from the patrons. Regulars, she assumes. There's something neighborhood-y about the place, despite the kitsch.

Smiling self-effacingly, she gives the brunette a curious once-over. Not unfortunate looking. Not at all.]

Well, I guess I'll forgo the customary falling-out-of-my-blouse if I decide to order.

[Bo tries but she really can't help herself.]

Please don't stop yourself on his account.

[That earns Bo a laugh. Diana smiles, playing with the neckline of her dress.]

Feisty. Somehow, I don't think the routine would do wonders for all the stink-eye I'm getting.

Am I wearing last season's shoes?

[Obviously not. Diana's always on top of fashion. But she doesn't want to outright ask why everyone seems to be glaring at her.]

[Bo hesitates for a moment, before shaking her head.]

You're just not their usual clientele. They usually cater to someone a bit ... older.

[Diana scans the crowd. Not exactly geriatric. But then again, maybe she's missing something.

Curiosity gets the better of her and she decides to take a peek at some auras and...

[Bo's reading her aura too. Not technically for the same thing, but she's learned a bit to know the difference between Fae and human and Diana is ... neither.]

Now, you're not human, but you're not Fae either. It's intriguing. And kind of sexy, actually.

[Is it wrong that Diana wants to puff up like an indignant cat? After all, she's been peering at their auras. Seems only fair if someone gets into hers.

But. Still.]

I think sexy transcends race.

A race of uber humans. We're older than humans, but we try to keep a low profile.

For people who keep a low profile, you're surprisingly forthcoming about it. Especially given the fact that we don't really know each other.

[Of course, she doesn't mind. Being honest is, frankly, much easier. At least for honest-to-a-fault Diana.]

[Honesty is good, and Bo's answer to that is two-fold.]

Well, for one thing - you're not human either. Not Fae, but definitely not human. And given the fact that ... pretty much everyone in here is Fae, it's kind of like our safe haven.

[Fantastic. Diana starts to mentally kick herself. Serves her right for going into a place that she thought was "interesting" and "had character." She's wandered into the middle of a Fae Elysium.

She doesn't know a lot about the Fae. Only whispers and rumors. None of it terribly good.

[Bo waves her hand, signaling the bartender to get his attention again.]

You are not intruding. You are here for a drink, this is a bar - you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

[Diana raises an eyebrow, offering Bo a crooked, little smile.]

[She shrugs.]

Destiny, perfect timing - call it what you want. I say fortune is smiling. Just ... stay away from the luck fae. Mayer could make that turn around in a flash.

I've never had much luck anyway.

[A bit more relaxed, Diana examines her new companion. Very, very beautiful. And surprisingly forthcoming. Then again, maybe she's just spent too much time around Cainites lately.]

So do you have a name, or should I call you Blue?

[She smiles a bit, before lifting her drink and tipping it in her direction.]

[She was expecting something a bit more exotic. Desdemona. Cobweb.

Bo just seems entirely too incongruous. But then again, the woman seems to be going a bit against the grain of whatever this place is.]
